YVONNE ROWLEY
My Name is Yvonne Rowley A.A.B.D. I started my training in gymnastics at the age of three years old, My training started in BAGA at Birmingham Gymnastics club. At the age of eleven years old I was accepted at the Birmingham Athletics Institute to train as a gymnast. I have also attended Baverstock Sports College, And at the age of sixteen I became assistant coach and later on I gained my General Qualification Level 3 to teach gymnastics at all levels and also gained my preschool Qualification.
As a child I have taken part in many competitions and displays, I have also taken part in the Lord Mayor youth games where I performed gymnastics. I am also a qualified fitness instructor and before having my first child I worked at Curves and CO, Birmingham Queensway. I have a dance background and I had trained at Mosley Dance School and over the years have taken part in many stage shows, I also have taken part in the Birmingham town hall dance festival. I have also choreographed many different shows which include Dick Whittington, Songs from the shows, Oliver and Word on the street and more recently The King and I, which also got nominated for an award. I taught at a dance school in 1997 but decided to leave and open up my own classes, I have now been teaching for 13 years with one year career break to have my third child.
I used to run a performing arts school where I taught ballet, dance, gymnastics and drama. Over the years I have sent many pupils for trials at Birmingham gymnastics club and all of the children have always been accepted I have more recently choreographed dances for the Norbury Theater production of "The King and I" which was nominated for awards. Many of our students went on to audition and gained main parts in theater's and shows. |
